Lotus Seven S2

2014 Toally refurbished chassis and complete rebuild.

Rolling Chassis.

Wiring started laid out to position then taped with harness tape ...

Chassis and body totally rebuilt by Arch Motors. .

Gauges and Switches .

Before wiring was finalised the  positions of the instruments and switches needed to be finalised. Provision in the wiring was made for a heater switch and an extra switch that was later used for a hidden USB port.....

Bonnet Fit.

More complicated than it looks, the bonnet. nose cone. and scuttle  fit were all related and the sidescreens and windscreen needed to be fitted in relation to each other.

Repairs .

2 Standard 10 halfshafts sourced and fitted to the Standard 10 axle with very rare LSD. ...

Rear Wings.

Using the old hood and sidesreens with poppers fitted, the wings needed to be in ther correct place  to allow correct placement..

Wiring Harness.

Starting to connect the harness it became obivous that it was not fit for use, I firstly started to replace single wires but soon decided to renew the lot!. It was much easier than expected and took 3 or 4  evenings work (click on dots and pic)  ....

Wings.

Another weeks work makng the small indents and glassing then into the wings ...

Odds an Ends.

So mant bits and pieces to do. One Wiper arm fell off in Switzerland and was repired temporarily (10 years) with Araldite. Replacing the mechanism was a nightmare.Fitting the hood and windscreen in relation to  everything else took a good few evenings work ....

Finished

MOT tested and ready to  go but still lots top do...
